About Beth Alom Cemetery

Located at 48 Allen Street in New Britain, Connecticut, Beth Alom Cemetery is a sacred Jewish burial ground maintained with deep respect, dignity, and reverent care.

Serving the central Connecticut Jewish community for decades, our cemetery stands as a timeless sanctuary for prayer, remembrance, and quiet reflection. We are committed to upholding traditional Jewish practices to honor those who have passed.

Placing Pebbles or Stones

A Time-Honored Jewish Tradition of Remembrance

Visitors to Beth Alom Cemetery are invited to participate in the ancient tradition of placing a small stone or pebble on a headstone during their visit.

Unlike flowers, which fade over time, a stone symbolizes the permanent and enduring nature of memory and love. Placing a stone serves as a respectful sign to others that the deceased has been visited and honored.
